Charlie Harris is a Kansas City based musician whose compositions have been selected for documentaries, endorsements, and soundtracks. His music has been described as “genre-less” as it combines elements of jazz, rock, Latin, soul, and pop into a melting pot that will evoke memorable emotional reactions. Locally he plays with Black Folk (who performed at last year’s Homegrown Harmony Festival) and Sonderluss Soul (who have sold out shows in the area including Knuckleheads). Once a year Charlie assembles some of the finest and most innovative musicians for a show. It is full of surprises, laughter and thought-provoking instrumental tunes. The project is called “Charlie Harris and Friends” and it is a festival of innovation and improvisation. You won’t be disappointed!
