My name is Morgen Agesen, and I am a 27-year-old artist based in Kansas City! I practice a diverse exploration of mediums, techniques, and styles, always grounded in my love for nature, expression of one’s innermost self, and the world around us.
I’ve had the privilege of creating over 10 murals throughout Kansas City, including installations at places like Worlds of Fun, Zona Rosa, Vignettes, and the Kansas City City Market! I thrive on the challenge of large-scale works, pushing boundaries and experimenting with new ways to engage with my audience and expand my capabilities.
Whether I’m working on a mural, live painting at one of Kansas City’s vibrant venues, or exploring a personal project, I approach each creation with the same thirst for knowledge and curiosity. I’ve painted live at over 25 different venues, collaborating with more than 30 local bands—each performance presenting a new opportunity to connect with the energy of both the music and the crowd, to create something engaging and electrifying.
Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me. Whether it’s the delicate balance of colors in a butterfly or the intricate textures found in decaying organisms, the natural world invites me to explore and reflect. It’s in these moments of observation that I find myself most inspired, driven to bring those feelings of harmony, serenity, anger, and even death into my artwork.
With each project, I remain committed to learning and expanding my skill set. I believe that art is an ongoing journey of discovery, and I’m excited to see where my creativity takes me next.
